Surf sessions are a photo journalistic style of shoot - photos will include you getting ready, walking down beach, paddling out and catching waves (depending on your level of skill).
You have to be comfortable handling yourself in the surf - be competent at rolling or duck diving and familiar with surf etiquette in order to surf in the line up, otherwise we can shoot in the white wash for beginners.
You do not have to be a surfer to book a surf session - we can also adjust these to be ocean portraits.

An underwater portrait sessions consists of a 1 hour shoot at an agreed upon location - pool or ocean depending on conditions and your level of skill and fitness.
We will decide upon 5 poses beforehand so you are familiar with what to do (& because communicating underwater is hard!)
If you would like to shoot in the ocean conditions have to be ideal & you MUST be a competent swimmer.

A natural light portrait session is a land based shoot only - no water shots are taken.
What if the surf or the weather is no good?
A.I will always check conditions the night before - you will be offered the opportunity to reschedule our shoot if you feel they are not ideal. If we arrive at the beach and you find that you are not comfortable entering the surf then you have the opportunity to reschedule. Past this point, once we enter the water your shoot has officially commenced. Should you not be happy with conditions from here then you will have to purchase another session.
How many people can I include in my shoot?
A.You can have up to 3 people with you for Surf and Underwater shoots at no extra cost. Portrait sessions are capped at 6 people. Please contact me if you require more and we can discuss options.
When & How will I receive my images?
A.You will receive your images via a digital link within 2 weeks of your session. Please download them and keep a back up copy somewhere safe as I do not store your images for more then a few months.
When do I pay for my session?
A.A $100 deposit is required upon booking and the remainder is due in full by the day of your shoot. I accept cash, credit card or bank transfer. If you are paying by bank transfer funds must be cleared by the day of your shoot. No images will be released unless payment is received.
Will you post my images to your social media? Can I post them on mine?
A.Yes, I do reserve the right to post any images to my website or social media accounts. If you do not wish for your images to be posted please let me know in advanced.
Yes you are welcome to post your final images wherever you wish! I always appreciate being tagged in your images @hannahjesupphotography
